Abstract

This study was carried out under laboratory conditions in the Zoology Agriculture Institute, on three (3) kind of alimentary item made of orange, persian lime and lemon leaves. Population was set in sands divided by two sections resulting 70 individuals per treatment, likewise, in female population two groups resulted (stationary and not stationary). The cycle lasted similarly in treatments used, from 30, 12 and 31, 10 days, resulting a few generations a year. Biological characteristics like longevity, fecundity and fertility were not affected by treatments studied. Stationary and not stationary population oviposition pattern, even both, and in different alimentary substrata the most quantity of eggs oviposited occurred during the first eight (8) days. This number of eggs was minor consequently until female was dead. Between the growing states of the species, eggs and adults lasted much more. This species had a low reproduction rate in large ovipositions periods, having a similar behavior on persian lime, orange and lemon plants. Key Words: life cycle, longevity, oviposition and persian lime.
