Identificación de las especies de Toxomerus Macquart, 1855 (Diptera, Syrphidae) depositadas en la Colección Entomológica de la Universidad Nacional de San Antonio Abad del Cusco, Perú

Abstract

The objective of this project was to determine the species of the genus Toxomerus (Diptera, Syrphidae) in the department of Cusco (Peru).
The material deposited in the Entomological Collection of the Universidad Nacional de San Antonio Abad del Cusco (UNSAAC)was
studied. Specialized literature was used for identification. Eight species have been identified: T. basalis (Walker), T. duplicatus (Weidemann),
T. elisa (Hull), T. idalius (Hull), T. laenas (Walker), T. politus (Say), T. pulchellus (Macquart) and T. saphiridiceps (Bigot). The species T. basalis, T. duplicatus, T. elisa, T. idalius, T. laenas and T. pulchellus are new records for Peru.
