Microcontingencias en la interacciones que se establece el cuidador primario con la persona que se encuentra en situación de discapacidad.

Abstract

La presente investigación tiene como objetivo comprender las microcontingencias o la red de relaciones que media en las interacciones que establece el cuidador primario con la persona que se encuentra en situación de discapacidad, a partir de los significados que ellos les otorgaron a los elementos que integran dicha red. La misma, es de carácter exploratorio y transeccional y para lograr la comprensión en cuestión, la circunscribimos al tipo de investigación cualitativa. La estrategia de recolección de información utilizada fue la entrevista semiestructurada y el criterio de saturación teórica, nos llevó a realizar doce (12) de ellas a igual número de participantes. A partir de sus transcripciones textuales, nos apoyamos en el Construccionismo Social con la finalidad de captar los significados contenidos en los relatos de los cuidadores y en el Método de las Comparaciones Constantes de la Teoría Fundamentada con la finalidad de validar el conocimiento producido a partir de la categorización de tales significados. Los resultados nos permiten concluir que las interacciones que establecen los cuidadores primarios con la persona que se encuentra en situación de discapacidad, están mediadas por redes de relaciones pasadas y presentes que han conllevado la emergencia, reproducción y mantenimiento de diversos comportamientos que los cuidadores terminan valorando como problema, requiriendo poner en práctica estrategias que han adquirido a través de diversos mecanismos, con el objetivo de transformar sus interacciones en función de su bienestar personal y el de la persona que cuidan, bienestar que no necesariamente se reduce a su salud física.

The present research aims to understand the microcontingencies or the network of relationships that mediates the interactions established by the primary caregiver with the person who is in a situation of disability, based on the meanings given by primary caregivers to the elements that integrate that network. This is an exploratory and cross-sectional study which is confined to the type of qualitative research. The data collection strategy used was the semi-structured interview, since the theoretical saturation criterion led us to perform twelve (12) interviews with an equal number of participants. Based on the textual transcripts of the interviews, we relied on Social Constructionism in order to capture the meanings contained in the accounts of the caregivers and, in the Method of Constant Comparisons of the Grounded Theory with the purpose of validating the knowledge produced from the categorization of such meanings. The results allow us to conclude that the interactions that primary caregivers establish with the person who is in a situation of disability are mediated by networks of past and present relationships that have implied the emergence, reproduction and maintenance of various behaviors that caregivers end up valuing as a problem, and that demands from them the implementation of strategies they have acquired through different mechanisms with the goal of transforming these behaviors for their personal well-being and that of their caretakers, well-being that is not necessarily reduced to their physical health.
