| dc.description.abstract | Objetivos: Los métodos anticonceptivos que no dependen del uso correcto y consistente por parte de las personas tienen un amplio rango de eficacia; considerando que el implante subdérmico cumple con esta característica, se decidió determinar la adherencia al implante anticonceptivo subdérmico, en un grupo de mujeres que acudieron a la consulta de planificación familiar, del servicio de ginecología del hospital Dr. Domingo Luciani durante el periodo comprendido entre agosto 2008 y septiembre 2011. Métodos: se estudió a 51 mujeres que acudieron a la consulta de planificación familiar, del Servicio de Ginecología para iniciar método anticonceptivo. Se realizó una revisión de las historias y se contactaron por vía telefónica, siendo citadas para realizarles una encuesta. Una vez recolectados, los datos fueron analizados en su totalidad y descritos mediante frecuencias absolutas y porcentajes. Resultados: casi la mitad de las usuarias consultadas refirió no presentar ninguna complicación, reportando mayoritariamente, en los casos afirmativos, trastornos menstruales (27,45 %); se presentó una tasa de abandono de 25,49 % de características multicausal. Comparando la permanencia con el abandono, se pudo establecer la adherencia del método durante el estudio, que alcanzó el 74, 51 %. Conclusiones: el reporte de complicaciones hallado fue similar al descrito por Cochrane, evidenciándose el predominio de los trastornos menstruales que por sí solos, no causaron el abandono en forma directa. Este dato refuerza el planteamiento de que el apego al método no sigue un patrón único y que la información que maneje la usuaria resulta clave para esto. | es_VE |
| dc.description.abstract | Abstract Objectives: The contraceptive methods that don’t depend on correct and consistent use by people with a wide range of effectiveness, considering that the implant does not depend on the proper use, offering this benefit and it was decided to determinate the subdermal contraceptive implants adherence in a group of women that consult the Dr. Domingo Luciani Hospital department of gynecology between August 2008 and September 2011. Methods: We studied 51 women attending family planning clinics, to start contraception. We conducted a chart review and contacted by telephone, being cited for conducting a survey. Once collected, the data were analyzed as a whole and described using frequencies and percentages. Results: Almost half of users surveyed reported not present any complication, mostly reported in the affirmative case, menstrual disorders (27, 45 %), presenting a dropout rate of 25,49 % of multicausal features. Comparing with the abandonment permanence, adhesion could be established during the study method, which reached 74,51 %. Conclusions: The reporting of complications was found similar to that described by Cochrane, showing the prevalence of menstrual disorders alone did not cause the abandonment directly. This fact supports the argument that adherence to the method does not follow a single pattern and that the information that manages the user is key to this. | es_VE |
