Influencia del sistema vial en la conformación de la jerarquía urbana y municipal de la subregión Barlovento. Estado Miranda. Venezuela

Resumen

Las vías de comunicación son la estrategia integradora y conectora entre las actividades y la población asentada en centros poblados. La red vial y su expresión espacial son consideradas como factores estructurantes del espacio geográfico, y como tales contribuyen a fortalecer los procesos de transformación y cambios en la estructura y dinámica espacial. La autopista de oriente Antonio José de Sucre en su paso por la subregión de Barlovento se convertirá en una modalidad vial que impactará las actuales condiciones de transporte en cuanto a conectividad, accesibilidad y cambios en el patrón de crecimiento del sistema de centros poblados de la depresión Barloventeña. El objetivo de esta investigación es establecer las variaciones en la jerarquía urbana de la subregión de Barlovento a causa de la disposición de la malla vial troncal y expresa.

Road System Efects in Urban Hierarchy in the Barlovento Subregion. Miranda State. Venezuela

ABSTRACT 

The lines of communication are the integrating and connecting a strategy among the activities and the population living in towns. The road network and its spatial expression are considered as structural factors of geographical space, and as such contribute to strengthen the processes of transformation and changes in the structure and spatial dynamics. The Antonio José de Sucre Eastern highway that goes through the Barlovento subregion will become a road mode that will impact the current conditions of transport in terms of connectivity, availability and changes in the growth pattern of the Communities system in the barloventeña Depression. The objective of this research is to determine the variations in the urban hierarchy of the Barlovento subregion due to the arrangement of the trunk road network.
