Caracterización física y biológica de la cuenca baja del río Tucurere. Costa Oriental de Falcón

Resumen

Se presentan las características físicas y biológicas de la cuenca baja del río Tucurere, inmersa en la región natural de los valles marítimos occidentales del estado Falcón. Los componentes ambientales bióticos y abióticos son analizados de manera integral, con el objetivo de brindar un diagnóstico físico y natural que refleje las condiciones espaciales y geográficas actuales. Su ubicación en el extremo oriental falconiano, aunado a su superficie de 408,5 km2 (57,4 % del total de la cuenca), le imprime una importancia significativa en torno a la utilización y manejo de sus recursos naturales (suelos, vegetación, fauna, bellezas escénicas, minerales, otros). Sobre la base del análisis de los componentes ambientales, se ofrece una visión de síntesis del uso actual de la cuenca del río Tucurere, además de indicar los aspectos jurídicos y legales vigentes para el área, enmarcados en el Plan Nacional de Ordenamiento Territorial y su equivalente regional, el Plan de Ordenamiento Estadal de Falcón. De esta forma se determina la compatibilidad o no (presencia de conflictos de uso) para este amplio sector de la llamada Costa Oriental Falconiana (COF).

Abstract
The physical and biological characteristics of the low Tucurere river basin is presented, immerse in the natural region of the marine valleys westerners of the Falcón state. The enviromental components biotics and abiotics, they are analyzed in an integral way, with the objective of offering a physical – natural diagnosis that reflect the current geographical conditions. Its location in the extreme of eastern Falcón joined to its surface of 408 km2 (57,4 % of the total the Tucurere river basin), make this basin of significant importance in what is related to the use and management of the natural resources (soil, vegetation, fauna, scenic beauties, minerals, other). On the base of the analysis of the environmental components, Its offers a vision of synthesis of the current use of the basin of the river Tucurere, besides indicating the effective juridical and legal aspects for the area, framed in the National Plan of Territorial Classification and their equivalent: Regional Plan of Falcon. This way the compatibility is determined or not (presence of use conflicts) for this wide sector of the Oriental Costa Falcón.
