Resilience and sexual satisfaction are separately associated with quality of life and wellbeing. The purpose of this investigation is to evaluate the existence of an association between sexual satisfaction and resilience in premenopausal women using the Index of Sexual Satisfaction (ISS) and the 14-item Wagnild and Young Resilience Scale (WYRS-14). Methods: A cross sectional study was performed from August 2020 to December 2020. A sociodemographic survey, the Index of Sexual Satisfaction (ISS) and the 14-item Wagnild and Young Resilience Scale (WYRS-14) were applied to a sample of 180 premenopausal women. Pearson’s correlation coefficient (r) was calculated to establish correlation between Index of Sexual Satisfaction and the 14-item Wagnild and Young Resilience scale. Results: The analysis of the association between the Index of Sexual Satisfaction and the 14-item Wagnild and Young Resilience Scale showed a significant positive linear association, with a Pearson correlation coefficient r = 0.351 (p<0.0001; 95 % CI: 0.2153 – 0.4739). The main strength of this study is that it is the first in describing an association between the Index of Sexual Satisfaction and the 14-item Wagnild and Young Resilience Scale score in premenopausal women. Conclusions: These results show a significative positive association between sexual satisfaction and resilience in premenopausal women.
