TRAS LA ESTELA DE UN FRACASO EN FALKE DE FEDERICO VEGAS

Resumen

En este trabajo se analiza el tema del fracaso en la novela Falke (2004) de Federico Vegas en donde se recrea la expedición del vapor Falke con la cual se intentó derrocar la Dictadura de Juan Vicente Gómez y que tuvo lugar en las costas de Cumaná el 11 de agosto de 1921. En tal sentido, se establecieron algunos paralelismos históricos con la Expedición Leander llevada a cabo por Francisco de Miranda en 1806 reseñada por Mondolfi (2005) cuyo fin último era promover la independencia de América hispana. La investigación pretende mostrar las posibles huellas del fracaso que se manifiestan en la vida de personajes durante dos hechos históricos distantes, de intenciones libertarias. Para ello, se trabajó desde la óptica psicoanalítica de López- Pedraza (1987).

ABSTRACT
This article explores the "failure" as the main subject in Federico Vegas' novel Falke (2004). It is based on the expedition of the boat Falke used against Juan Vicente Gómez dictatorship while arriving in the coast of Cumaná, on August 11th, 1921. Vega creates a parallelism between this expedition with that of Francisco de Miranda's boat "Leander", in 1806, as seen by Mondolfi (2005), this last one for procuring the independence of Hispano-America. The research attempts to show the possible "failure" that can also be observed in the literary life of some characters of these two historic and far in time narrations gathered in Falke. For these reason, I based my study on the psychoanalytical point of view of López-Pedraza (1987).
