LA AMORALIDAD DEL CABALLERO ESTÉTICO. LA FIGURA DEL CABALLERO EN ALGUNAS OBRAS DEL SIGLO DE ORO

Resumen

Si algo parecen tener en común los personajes literarios en el Siglo de Oro es un desesperado anhelo de libertad. No sólo las mujeres o las clases modestas sufren los estragos de una época tan oscura como intolerante, sino los hombres de condiciones privilegiadas padecen la fractura entre sus deseos íntimos y la realidad circundante. Nadie se salva. Algunos son víctimas del sistema, del poder o de los demás; pero otros son terribles víctimas de sí mismos. Las causas sociales, culturales, políticas y religiosas de este clima general de intransigencia han sido estudiadas desde múltiples perspectivas. En las siguientes páginas se reflexiona en torno al reflejo literario de la figura del caballero: sus excesos, sus abusos, su hipocresía, su crueldad, su impiedad, su falta al deber, su escisión entre el ser y el parecer, y, sobre todo, sus sufrimientos más secretos.

ABSTRACT
If something has in common the main literary characters of the Golden Ages is the desperate aspiration for freedom. Not only women from the lowest classes suffered the inconvenient of this period of time, so obscure and intolerable, but also men from the most privileges social classes suffered the breakdown of their intimate wishes and contextual reality. Nobody was out of it. Many were the victims of their own social system, power or even from others; but also others were atrocious victims of themselves. The social, cultural, politic and religious causes of this general intransigent surrounding have been studied throughout multiple perspectives. In the following pages I will present a study about the literary figure of the aesthetic knight: its excesses, abuses, hypocrisy, cruelty, impiety and lack of obligations, the incision between “being” and real image, but particularly on its more secret sufferings.
