FUENTES DE LA DISCRIMINACIÓN. ACERCA DE LA CONDICIÓN DE LA MUJER EN EL PENSAMIENTO OCCIDENTAL

Resumen

En este artículo me propongo explicar las posibles fuentes de donde parte la discriminación de la mujer en la cultura occidental. Comenzaremos con lo reflexionado sobre el tema por tres pensadores de incuestionable profundidad. Gloria Comesaña Santalices, desde la filosofía, irá tras la búsqueda del origen siguiendo el camino trazado por Simone de Beauvoir desde el existencialismo sartreano y el hegelianismo, así como de la tesis biológica de Shulamith Firestone y la tesis de Kate Millet, quien, también desde los razonamientos de Beauvoir, intenta explicar las razones de la discriminación. Desde la psicología y el psicoanálisis, Ana Teresa Torres busca explicaciones en los trabajos de Sigmund Freud, Melanie Klein y Jacques Lacan para terminar haciendo un recorrido por el imaginario que sobre la mujer elaboró el mundo occidental y patriarcal. Por último, nos remontaremos a los griegos y sus reflexiones en torno a la mujer; lo haremos desde los estudios realizados por Antonio Pérez Estévez, filósofo y catedrático de inestimable valor para la historia de las ideas en Venezuela.

ABSTRACT
In this article I will explain the possible sources of some of the discrimination of women in Western culture. We leave it reflected on the issue for three thinkers of unquestionable depth. Gloria Comesaña Santalices from philosophy to go after tracing the source following the path traced of Simone de Beauvoir from Sartre and Hegelianism, and the thesis Biological relevance of Shulamith Firestone and Kate Millett’s argument, who, also from the arguments of Beauvoir, attempts to explain the reasons for discrimination. In psychology and psychoanalysis, Ana Teresa Torres seeks explanations in the work of Sigmund Freud, Melanie Klein and Jacques Lacan to end up doing a tour of the imaginary women on the Western world and developed patriarchal. Finally, we will go back to the Greeks and their reflections on women, we will from the studies conducted by Antonio Pérez Estévez, philosopher and professor of inestimable value for the history of ideas in Venezuela.
