MARCA DE CRECIENTE EN UN TRAMO CARAQUEÑO DEL RÍO GUAIRE / WATERMARKS IN A STRETCH OF THE RIVER GUAIRE IN CARACAS

Los autores presentan y analizan fotografías de marcas de nivel máximo dejadas por las aguas de una gran creciente del ríoGuaire el 8 de febrero de 2005 cerca de Plaza Venezuela (Caracas, Venezuela). El aplastamiento de la vegetación contra elcauce ayudó a definir los máximos de nivel de agua. Durante el pico de la creciente el río parece haber cambiado de afluentea efluente. La información presentada es básica para investigaciones futuras relacionadas con el río. El patrón satelital denubes quedó especificado y documentado.
ABSTRACT
As main issues, the authors present pictures of maximum watermarks produced by a high rise of the Guaire River near PlazaVenezuela (8 Feb 2005, Caracas, Venezuela). As in other cases, the deformation of vegetation by the pressure of the waterhelps to define the marks. During the maximum stage the river seems to change regime from affluent to effluent. The satellitecloud pattern was reported.
