Description of <i>Chrysomila</i> n. gen. and ten new species for the neotropics (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae: Alticinae)

Resumo

Chrysomila gen. nov. and the following new species are described: C. amazonica (Brasil), C. cycloeides (Perú) collected on Guarea macrophylla (Melastomataceae), C. dichroa (Perú), C. erwini (Perú), C. eudaemon (Colombia), C. filicis (Venezuela), C. gamboensis (Panamá) collected on Luethea seemani (Tiliaceae), C. lema (Venezuela), C. tinalandiae (Ecuador) y C. virginensis (Costa Rica) with some specimens collected on Tetrorchidium euryphyllum (Euphorbiaceae). Differences between these and other related genera Monotalla Bechyné 1956, Clavicornaltica Scherer 1974 and Kiskeya Konstantinov & Chamorro 2006 are presented; diagnoses, descriptions, pictures, illustrations and keys for each species are provided.
