Pleseobyrsa chiriquensis (Champion) is reported for the first time causing damages to avocado trees in the locality of Carayaca, State of Vargas. The insect lives in large colonies on the underside of the leaves causing yellowing of the whole surface and posterior wilting. The affected area is a close valley of about 400 ha.Downloads
