First report of <i>Trigonotylus tenuis</i> Reuter, 1893 (Hemiptera, Miridae) causing damage to rice crops (Oryza sativa L.) in Venezuela

Abstract

Trigonotylus tenuis Reuter is reported for the first time causing damage in rice fields in the states of Portuguesa and Guárico, Venezuela. A short description of the insect and damage caused to the plant is given.
