In order to determine the factors affecting the capture of Trichogrammatidae (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea), during 1999 four methods of sampling were compared: yellow pan traps, interception traps, Malaise trap and sweeping in three localities producing of cacao of the state Aragua, Venezuela, under three of management systems agronomic and in three climatic periods. The locality did not have effect on the captures. The greater captures of individuals and genera of Trichogrammatidae were obtained using Malaise and interception traps and captures were highest at the end of the rainy season and management system.
