Casos teratológicos en Phymata fortificata (Herrich-Shaeffer) (Hemiptera:Reduviidae: Phymatinae) de Venezuela

Abstract

The first teratological cases are described for a species of Phymatinae (Reduviidae) from South America, Phymata fortificata (Herrich-Shaeffer, 1844). These teratoses corresponds to an individual with unilateral atrophy in the left mesothoracic leg; another individual which presents simple oligomery in the right antenna, together with atrophy of the right frontal apophysis and in a third individual, atrophy of the left antenna. Teratological cases are discussed and illustrated
