EN TORNO A LA CRISIS Y TRANSFORMACIÓN DEL CONCEPTO DE SOBERANÍA

Resumen

Con este texto se busca mostrar el sentido fundamental que recorre la formación y el desarrollo del concepto de soberanía a partir de algunos de sus principales intérpretes. Se intenta poner de manifiesto, por un lado, que ya desde sus orígenes dicho concepto empezó a mostrar signos de crisis. Por otro lado, se hace énfasis en la transformación de la soberanía a partir de los diversos desarrollos que ésta ha tenido especialmente a partir de la segunda mitad del siglo XX. Se pone de relieve el hecho de que los cambios que ha sufrido la estructura del Estado en un contexto donde se evidencia cada vez más la formación de un poder global, constituyen aspectos fundamentales de dicha transformación. Se señalan, finalmente, algunas tendencias a través de las cuales es posible pensar el rumbo y el sentido que puede tomar la soberanía en el marco de la globalización.

ABSTRACT

This text attempts to show the fundamental meaning that passes through the formation and development of the concept of sovereignty from the perspective of some of its leading analysts. It tries to show, first, that since its inception the concept began to present signs of crisis. Moreover, it puts emphasis on the transformation of sovereignty considering the various changes that have occurred especially since the second half of the XX century. It is highlighted that the changes in the state structure denotes a context where there are strong evidence of the formation of a global power, a fact that is a fundamental aspect of this transformation. Finally,the article exposes some trends through which it is possible to think on the direction and sense the idea of sovereignty may take under globalization.
