Importancia y Avances del Soporte Nutricional en el Paciente Crítico

Resumen

La malnutrición es un flagelo que azota al mundo e incrementa la morbi-mortalidad. Conlleva un aumento de estancia hospitalaria(LOS), afectando sustancialmente la relación costobeneficio. Reconocer la evolución e importancia de los avances de la terapia nutricional (TN) del paciente critico, el valor de la Farmaconutrición, los macro y micro nutrientes, así como la nutrición precoz y la respuesta fisiológica del tracto gastrointestinal (TGI) junto a la anti-inflamatoria y el uso de inmunonutrición y antioxidantes. Se revisa la fisiopatología de malnutrición en pacientes críticos, los cuales son multifactoriales.

Abstract
Malnutrition is a flagellum that whips to the world and increases morbi-mortality. It entails an increase of hospital length stay (LOS), affecting substantially the relation cost-benefit. Recognize the evolution and importance of advances in nutritional therapy (NT) of the critical ill patient, the value of the pharmaconutrition, macro and micro nutrients and early nutrition and the physiological response of the gastrointestinal tract (GI Tract), together with anti-inflammatory response and the use of immune nutrition and antioxidant.
