ACOMPAÑANDO EL DUELO DE MADRES QUE HAN PERDIDO A SUS HIJOS EN SITUACIONES VIOLENTAS: UNA COMPRENSIÓN DESDE LA PSICOLOGÍA CLÍNICA-COMUNITARIA

Resumen

Este artículo presenta algunos resultados de la línea de investigación maternidad, violencia y duelo, realizada en Caracas-Venezuela, fundamentada en la perspectiva de la psicología clínica-comunitaria y la metodología cualitativa, con el objetivo de
comprender las vivencias de duelo de madres que han perdido a sus hijos en situación de violencia, sus necesidades de atención y el lugar de la comunidad. Se concluye, que es fundamental potenciar el apoyo que las propias madres y las comunidades pueden ofrecer a las víctimas secundarias de la violencia, así como, reconocer el tema de violencia-duelo en Venezuela como un problema de salud pública, que amerita no solo atender el duelo sino enfrentar y prevenir la violencia.

 

ACCOMPANYING THE MOURNING OF MOTHERS WHO HAVE LOST THEIR SONS IN VIOLENT SITUATIONS: AN UNDERSTANDING FROM THE CLINICAL-COMMUNITY
PSYCHOLOGY

Abstract
This article presents results of the research line of maternity, violence and mourning, held in Caracas- Venezuela based on the perspective of clinical community psychology and qualitative methodology with the aim of understanding the experiences of mourning mothers who have lost their sons in situations of violence, their needs for attention and the position of the community. It is concluded that it is essential to strengthen the support that mothers and communities can offer to secondary victims of violence, as well as to recognize the issue of violence-mourning in Venezuela as a public health problem, that deserves not only to attend mourning but facing and preventing violence.
