Nuevos registros de plantas hospedantes para tres subespecies de Dysdercus Guérin Méneville, 1831 (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Pyrrhocoridae): Pavonia sepioides Fryxell & Krapov. y Sida rhombifolia L. (Malvales: Malvaceae)

Abstract

New records of host plants of the family Malvaceae are reported for hemiptera-heteroptera of the genus Dysdercus Guérin Méneville, 1831. For Dysdercus concinnus pehlkei Schmidt, 1932 Sida rhombifolia L. is reported as a host, for Dysdercus obscuratus garzkei Schmidt, 1932 and Dysdercus mimus distanti Blöte, 1931 to Pavonia sepioides Fryxell & Krapov. These subspecies of Dysdercus feed mainly at the flower and fruit level and were also observed in reproductive activity.
