Aspectos biológicos da mosca do figo, Zaprionus indianus Gupta,1970 (Diptera: Drosophilidae)
Resumen
Zaprionus indianus (Diptera: Drosophilidae) was registered for the first time in Brazil attacking fig (Ficus carica var. roxo-de-valinhos) in march of 1999 in Valinhos, São Paulo State, causing damage and reducing production about 40% and the exportation about 80%. Research on biological aspects were carried out in laboratory at 25 ± 1 oC, 14-hours photophase, in artificial diets with or without alimentary supplement (Sacharomyces cerevisiae). The incubation period ranged from 1.0 to 1.5 days; larval period from 8 to 13 days; pupal period from 4 to 9 days. The longevity of mated adults ranged from 24 to 83 days with alimentary suplement and from 21 to 91 days, without it. Life span of the isolated adults with alimentary supplement ranged from 7 to 55 days. The longevity of the isolated and mated adults, with and without alimentary supplement showed significant differences, which did not occurr between males and females. The medium number of adults originated from a couple without alimentary supplement was 69.08 (33 - 134) while the ones with alimentary supplement produced 255.93 (93 - 698) adults. The sex ratio observed was 0.56.Descargas
