Una nueva especie de Cyclocephala Dejean de Perú, con la redescripción de C. spilopyga Erichson, 1847 y C. pygidiata Dupuis, 1999 (Coleoptera, Scarabaeidae, Dynastinae, Cyclocephalini)

Resumen

The study of the Lectotype of Cyclocephala spilopyga Erichson, 1847 let us to define and differentiate three closely related species: Cyclocephala spilopyga Erichson, 1847, C. pygidiata Dupuis, 1999 and C. genieri sp. n. from Peru. Males of the three species can be differentiated mainly by the presence or absence of pilosity on head, pronotum and pygidium, the striation of protarsomeres 4-5, the shape of the largest claw of anterior legs and the shape of aedeagus. Females can be differentiated by the shape of lateral swelling of the elytra and epipleurae. Known distribution: Cyclocephala spilopyga: Ecuador, Peru, Brazil and Bolivia; C. pygidiata: Colombia; C. genieri sp. n.: Perú.
