Resumen

Como consecuencia del uso de las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación (TIC) el ámbito educativo se ha visto influenciado por este nuevo universo tecnológico, que permite el fácil acceso a toda clase de información y de esta manera formar ciudadanos acordes a las necesidades actuales. La utilización de las TIC  se manifestó inicialmente como una posibilidad, y ahora se ha convertido en una necesidad, por lo tanto, es un instrumento básico para maestros como estudiantes, que genera  grandes oportunidades como también puede  involucrar aspectos negativos ya que la mayoría de las tecnologías no fueron creadas con fines educativos, y sus impactos en la  educación se quiera o no están presentes, en este sentido el rol del maestro constituye  un factor  clave para el adecuado uso y beneficio de estas herramientas.
