ECUADOR: LA BRECHA DIGITAL ENTRE PROFESORES Y ALUMNOS

Resumen

Se enfatiza la brecha digital entre profesores y alumnos y la necesidad de desarrollar competencias para el uso de la tecnología digital por parte de los actores del proceso educativo. La tecnología avanza a pasos agigantados y los docentes van detrás de ese vertiginoso ritmo. Equipar a las instituciones con tecnología de punta, va a la par de la capacitación del docente, si queremos lograr la excelencia en el panorama educativo. En este escenario el docente en Ecuador se enfrenta a muchos retos en el aula, el más difícil de lograr, es superar la resistencia al cambio del profesorado, otro reto radica en cómo lograr captar la atención de sus alumnos más de seis horas diarias con la incorporación de herramientas digitales en un ambiente que exige mayor motivación e interacción para acercar a los estudiantes a aprender haciendo.

Emphasis is placed on the digital divide between teachers and students and the need to develop competences for the use of digital technology by the actors in the educational process. Technology is advancing by leaps and bounds and teachers are behind that dizzying pace. Equipping institutions with state-of-the-art technology goes hand in hand with teacher training if we want to achieve excellence in the educational landscape. In this scenario the teacher in Ecuador have many challenges in the classroom, the most difficult to achieve, is to overcome the resistance to change teachers, another challenge lies in how to get the attention of their students more than six hours a day with the incorporation of digital tools in an environment that requires more motivation and interaction to bring students to learn by doing.
