Abstract
The Sturge-Weber syndrome (SSW) is described as a facomatose of mesoderm origin, also described as encefalofacial, meningofacial or encefalotrigeminal angiomatose. Its etiology is still uncertain, however the fragility of capillaries walls or deficit of the number of perivascular nerves taking to a deficiency in the neuromodulation of the vascular circulation. The SSW is a vascular malformation of the lower blood flux. The objective of this paper is to report a case of a patient with SSW that was treated by neurosurgeon's service and Oral and maxilofacial surgery of H.G.J.A.F., Aracaju/SE, Brazil, reporting the severity with the "elephant face" aspect, with presence of flammeus nevus, following each bilateral area of the trigeminal nerve (V1 / V2 / V3) and to emphasize its clinical and imaginological characteristics and the management used.
