Resumen : Perovskites with the compositions LaCo0.6Fe0.4O3, LaCo0.4Fe0.6O3 and La0.9Ce0.1Co0.6Fe0.4O3, were supported over metallic conic structures made of stainless steel, with the aim of study the influence of the metallic structure on the reaction. These catalysts were evaluated in methane reforming with CO2-O2, by comparing with the same catalyst in powder. The reactions conditions were established by modifying reaction temperature and CH4/CO2 feed ratio. With the perovskite of higher cobalt content, at 850 ºC and molar composition 6/1/3 as CH4/CO2/O2, it was achieved a methane conversion of 88% and a ratio H2/CO of 1.6. A similar behavior was observed for the metal conic structured catalysts and powder catalysts. The substitution of La by Ce does not produce appreciable differences in catalytic behavior. Tests with a metallic structure similar to a commercial package seem to improve catalytic stability of LaCo0.6Fe0.4O3 perovskite, achieving a higher H2/CO ratio in the products.
