| Abstract: | Objetivo: Evaluar la efectividad de la terapia médica en pacientes diagnosticadas con hiperplasia endometrial en el servicio de ginecología de la Clínica Maternidad “Santa Ana” I.V.S.S entre mayo del 2015 y agosto del 2016. Métodos: el tipo de estudio fue experimental, prospectivo, longitudinal, comparativo, aleatorizado. La muestra estuvo conformada por 89 pacientes, cuyas muestras de biopsia de endometrio resultaron con diagnóstico histológico de hiperplasia endometrial. Resultados: de las 89 pacientes diagnósticadas con hiperplasia endometrial se observó que el grupo en el cual se utilizó el sistema intrauterino liberador de levonorgestrel hubo una regresión del 100 % con una significancia estadística de p = 0,001, al igual que en el grupo tratado con progestinas más metformina, con una regresión del 76,2 % (p = 0,001). Conclusiones: al asociar metformina al tratamiento de la hiperplasia endometrial (sistema intrauterino liberador de levonorgestrel) se observó una mejoría clínica de esta patología en menor tiempo. |
| Description: | Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of medical therapy in patients diagnosed with endometrial hyperplasia in the department of gynecology of Motherhood "Santa Ana" I.V.S.S Clinic between May 2015 and August 2015. Methods: The type of study is experimental, prospective, longitudinal, comparative, randomized. The sample consisted of 89 patients whose samples were endometrial biopsy with histological diagnosis of endometrial hyperplasia. Results: Of the 89 patients diagnosed with endometrial hyperplasia was observed that the group in which releasing levonorgestrel intrauterine system was used, there was a regression of 100% with a statistical significance of p = 0.001, as in the group treated with metformin progestins, with a regression of 76.2% (p = 0.001). Conclusions: by associating metformin for the treatment of endometrial hyperplasia (releasing levonorgestrel intrauterine system) clinical improvement of this pathology was observed in less time. |
